My 2000 GS 201 has a 2000 Yamaha 150 HP V-6 2 stroke and I have seen 54mph wide open by myself, top down, trimmed out, and on pure gasoline.  Engine tops out at 5400rpm.  I don't run it for long that way but it is a lot of fun!

Is that on GPS? That sounds insanely fast for a 150.

i have a 237 sundeck with a honda 225 BF on the rear and she get up to  37 mph plus or minus ...with two adults and and a full tank of gas.     i was hoping for a little more but its a heavy boat.   i pull her with a 2500 sierra dmax and she knows its back there.    no complaints.    Ive see the same boat fitted with a yamaha 150 and a yamaha 200.......they have to ride like a dog.

My 2017 ss 188  with a 150 Yamaha 4 stroke, with a 14,5 x 17 pitch prop will do 44 mph at 5600 rpm, speedo reading. Prop is aluminum. No bimini deployed and one person in the boat. I tried a stainless steel michigan prop 14.25 x 15, I picked up 200 rpm and LOST 3 mph in top speed. I will sell the stainless prop for $150 plus shipping.
